The pelvic girdle is a complex structure closely connected to the spine and hips. While some clients may find relief with simple exercises like Kegels, most benefit from a highly trained expert who can uncover the root cause of their symptoms and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to their specific needs.
What to expect at your first session and at subsequent sessions?
-
Before your appointment, you’ll complete a detailed medical history form, allowing your therapist to review your information ahead of time. At your initial session, you’ll be greeted by your therapist, and your visit will start promptly. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to allow time for parking, using the restroom, or simply settling in. The session takes place in a private treatment room and begins with a face-to-face conversation, followed by a comprehensive examination. Your assessment will consider your entire body including your feet and you will receive treatment during your first session. You deserve care now, and we’re here to provide it.
-
Your comfort is our priority. If you prefer to remain clothed, we can still gain a deep understanding of your body, however, please wear flexible clothing (ie. loose fitting shorts or pants like yoga or loungewear). If you’re comfortable with a pelvic floor exam, we can perform one—but only at your pace and with your consent. The pelvic floor muscles can be assessed externally, even thru clothing or internally via the vagina or rectum. Feeling safe and in control is essential, as it allows your nervous system to support healing. We move at your speed, always respecting your comfort and boundaries.

Absolutely YES! We want you to start understanding what healing can feel like. During the first appointment, we will also develop a detailed plan for moving forward. This way you know the plan, how long it should take and what to expect. We believe in being clear and transparent!
