Pelvic and Abdominal Pain
Pain during sitting. Pain during sex. Pain that shows up out of nowhere and won't go away no matter what you try. If you've been dealing with pelvic or abdominal pain, you already know how much it can take over your daily life.
A lot of people with pelvic pain have spent months or years going from doctor to doctor without getting clear answers. They've been told their labs look fine, or that it might be stress, or that they should just try a different medication. By the time they find pelvic floor physical therapy, they're frustrated and exhausted, and they're often surprised they weren't referred sooner.
Here's what many people don't realize: just like the muscles in your back and neck, the muscles in your pelvis and abdomen can become tight, weak, or painful. And because the pelvis is connected to so many systems (bladder, bowel, sexual function, the spine, the hips), pelvic pain rarely has one simple cause. Getting to the root of it takes a thorough assessment of how your whole body is working together.
That's what we do. We take the time to look beyond the pain itself and figure out what's driving it, so we can treat the cause and not just manage symptoms.
